McArthur is seeking a Risk Management Officer, to provide support in the management of risk and audit functions across our clients' organisation. This is a great temporary opportunity until June 26 th February 2026 and is in a fantastic location walking distance from the Dock. The position offers full time hours, is immediately available and has a casual rate of $55.34 per hour Superannuation. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research within the scope of the role and provide recommendations. Provide administrative support for audits, including entering findings and recommendations. Maintain information on the Council's intranet (The Hive). Prepare general correspondence, reports, and statistics. Manage public liability, professional indemnity, motor vehicle, and other claims, liaising with relevant Council areas for incident investigation and records management. Participate in and coordinate projects, implementing outcomes. Support the risk management framework by administering risk management software (Camms) and providing advice. Prepare incident data for the Corporate Risk Management Committee and ELT, and collect data for insurance renewals. Advise on and assist with the Council's Integrated Management System, including Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, and Risk Management Systems. Perform other tasks within the employee's knowledge, skills, and training Selection Criteria: Demonstrated practical competence acquired through several years of relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to be highly organised and manage a number of activities simultaneously. Knowledge of industry and professional risk management standards, frameworks and tools. Experience in conducting internal audits coupled with an ability to make recommendations and provide advice to stakeholders. Well-developed research and report writing skills and an ability to analyse information from different sources in order to prepare recommendations within the scope of the level. High proficiency in the use of word processing and formatting, spreadsheets, website content management systems, database applications coupled with experience in the analysis and provision of statistical data.
