An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with and advise organisational leaders to effectively navigate and manage IR/ER issues whilst being the custodian of changes across relevant legislation, Acts, and Awards. Role Overview Reporting to the People Operations Manager, the HR Business Partner will also be responsible for: Undertaking performance management and disciplinary processes to help drive a culture of continuous feedback and accountability; Maintaining awareness and knowledge of updates to relevant legislation, Acts, and Awards, communicating any changes to relevant parties and ensuring changes are cross checked against policies; Interpreting relevant legislation, Acts, and Awards as required Identifying leadership capability gaps and proactively facilitating workshops to coach leaders; Supporting succession planning, talent development and implementing initiatives; Working collaboratively with senior leaders and cross functional teams to implement initiatives aligned with the strategic organisational goals. Skills, Knowledge and Experience SYC is seeking an experienced people professional with demonstrated experience in end-to-end management of employee relations matters and possessing strong knowledge of Employment Law, Employee Relations management principles, preferably experience with SCHADS Award, LMAI Award, HPSS Award, and WHS Legislation. The successful candidate must have strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, possess a high degree of cultural awareness along with the ability to collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Experience with the SCHADS Award, LMAI Award, HPSS Award and WHS legislation will be highly regarded as will tertiary qualifications in IR/ER, Human Resources or a related discipline.
