Due to recent growth we are now embarking on a manning increase of the Beta Hunt Operation and looking to employ Experienced Underground Nippers on an 8:6/7:7 roster on a permanent full-time basis. THE ROLE Delivery and pick up of equipment such as tools, piping, services, and anything else that is needed Removal of waste items from Underground work areas to waste dumps Provide ground support to Jumbo Operators and assist with general mining services and installation of ground support Assist with all operations including offside operators Possess excellent housekeeping standards to ensure machinery is kept clean and tidy Be organised and undertake all assigned tasks by the Shift Supervisor Be familiar and comply with all Company Procedures, Guidelines and Work Methods applicable to your role WHAT DO I NEED Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence (essential) Minimum of 12 months experience working in an underground mining environment Prior experience working as an Underground Nipper and an understanding of this role Knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable Excellent communication skills A can-do, team-oriented attitude A RANGE OF BENEFITS INCLUDING FIFO, DIDO and Residential employment opportunities Tuesday to Tuesday – 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster Flights direct to the Kambalda Airstrip located within 10 mins of site and camp Flights in and out on company time and returning to Perth at reasonable times New camp with permanent ensuite rooms, recreational room, equipped gym and standard mine camp facilities Camp located near the Kambalda Town Centre with access to the Kambalda Hotel, Woolworths and Kambalda Gym (all within walking distance) The Westgold Offer: A permanent full-time position at a successful gold producer A range of benefits including: Performance based bonus Group salary continuous insurance A health and wellness allowance Health insurance discount A range of Family and Medical leave policies that includes IVF, surrogacy and adoption.
