The Department of Trade, Business and Asian Relations (DTBAR) is the Northern Territory Government’s lead agency to shape an enabling environment that activates industry, attracts investment and drives business growth to sustain a vibrant Territory economy and lifestyle. Within DTBAR, the Policy, Strategy and Insights Division collaborates with industry and government entities to foster business and industry progress. This involves conducting thorough analysis offering advice, and formulating policies and programs to maintaina competitive and effective business landscape. The division aims to enhance Territory business capability, advocate for local interests, and address the Territory’s workforce requirements. As Senior Director, Business and Industry Development , your primary objective is to provide executive leadership by partnering with government and industry stakeholders to drive business and industry growth and spearhead the development and management of targeted initiatives to increase local participation in industry supply lines. Your responsibilities include designing, implementing, and supporting projects, programs and initiatives that empower business and industry sectors to grow their capabilities and contribute to government policy objects. This role entails supervising in-depth research, analysis, advice and engaging with stakeholder to shape government policies and enhance local involvement in supply chains, gas and mineral services.
