About the role Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, as a valued member of the Finance Partnering team, you will develop and build relationships across the business to support senior business leaders in day-to-day management of the business, providing analysis and insights to support business decisions. The role is responsible for providing business partnering support and delivering month end, forecast and budget results by performing a selection of processes and functions across a range of P&L’s. The role builds up extensive business knowledge, systems expertise and establishes strong reputation with the internal stakeholders. An enthusiastic attitude with strong attention to details and analytical skills are essential to ensure success. Duties Primary responsibilities include: Business Partnering: provide analytical and financial support to Senior Business Leaders / Financial Controller for finance processes / functions through insightful, strategic reporting. Management Accounting: responsible for timely and accurate completion of allocated finance functions for month end, forecasting and budgeting. Delivering regular financial performance reports to senior management, providing clear insights. Financial Modelling: responsible for preparing and analysing financial modelling for budget/ planning within the finance department and for related stakeholders. Process improvement: critically assess workflows and drive efficiencies/ process improvements. Staff management: mentors, guides and engages reporting team member/s to help them achieve their own responsibilities, creating a high performing team. Skills and experience To be successful in this role, you'll have an enthusiastic attitude with strong attention to detail and analytical skills and the following skills/experience: Bachelor degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting CA / CPA Qualified with minimum 3 years post qualified experience 5 years experience in finance business partnering Exceptional business partnering skills, with the ability to influence Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent computer literacy and strong excel skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Proven ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines Ability to explain concepts to non-financial stakeholders and build relationships Experience in process improvement and driving change in a fast-paced environment Enthusiastic and keen to learn, with an adaptable approach to work A positive mindset, can-do attitude Thrives in a changing environment Experience of staff management Desirable: Previous experience with D365 Previous experience with planning/ data analysis tools such as TM1 Experience in the industry preferred but not mandatory Are Media is a proud member of Media Diversity Australia, a not-for-profit organisation working towards a media landscape that looks and sounds like Australia.
