We’re looking for a capable and proactive Emergency Preparedness Coordinator to deliver key elements of the University’s emergency readiness and fire safety program. The Role You’ll be working in a close-knit and supportive team who genuinely care about what we do – you'll need to balance scheduled training and compliance activities with the occasional unexpected event. Your contribution will directly impact the safety and wellbeing of thousands of staff, students, and visitors. In this key role, you’ll be at the centre of our emergency preparedness efforts, supporting compliance, training, and readiness across a diverse and dynamic university environment. What you’ll do: Deliver engaging, face-to-face emergency training across multiple campuses Create and maintain evacuation diagrams across the estate Coordinate our network of emergency wardens – from recruitment and training to ongoing engagement Support fire safety measure compliance What you’ll bring: Strong knowledge of emergency preparedness principles and fire safety compliance High-level organisational and administrative capability Experience interpreting legislation and applying it to operational contexts A collaborative, calm and solutions-focused approach This full-time position is ongoing at a HEW 7 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus.
