Felons Brewing Co is one of Brisbane’s most dynamic hospitality destinations, welcoming thousands of guests every week to its riverside home. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Venue Manager to lead operations across our flagship 1000-seat venue. As the Venue Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of a large, fast-paced operation, spanning six bars and three kitchens which operates seven days a week. With a front-of-house team of over 150 staff, you will drive service standards, guest experience, and team culture, ensuring Felons continues to deliver world-class hospitality. This is a rare opportunity to lead within a vibrant workplace supported by strong internal structures, including dedicated HR, Marketing, and IT teams. You’ll have the autonomy to make an impact while being backed by a collaborative and highly skilled support network. Key responsibilities include: Manage rostering in alignment with budget forecasts and operational demands Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all menu offerings, ensuring team training and communication is clear and current Partner with chefs and marketing to coordinate and execute weekly menu updates and printed collateral Approve and coordinate quarterly beverage pricing updates in consultation with the General Manager Monitor and report on key operational metrics, including wage costs, comps, wastage, and stock control Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, diverse team with clear structure and accountability Champion a culture of passion, quality, and hospitality across all areas of the venue Execute and support an annual training calendar covering food, beverage, service, and guest engagement About you: 3–5 years’ experience in a similar leadership role within a high-volume hospitality environment Strong knowledge of licensing laws, food safety and health & safety regulations Proven track record of achieving financial targets and improving operational efficiency Ability to handle high pressure situations and make strategic decisions Proficiency in using POS systems, inventory management and financial reporting tools Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate Why you’ll love working for us?
