Grade 4 Team Leader - Forklift Operations, Hume Rd At our Hume Road facility in Melbourne, we are seeking a hands-on Grade 4 Team Leader – Forklift Operations to join our Local Transport team. This role combines operational forklift duties with frontline leadership. You’ll not only operate safely and efficiently but also guide a small team, ensuring compliance, performance, and the smooth execution of daily loading and unloading activities. Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Safely operate forklifts to load/unload transport trucks Direct, support, and oversee a small team to achieve operational goals Set clear performance expectations and monitor progress Plan and organise transport loads with the support of the wider transport team Monitor load safety and efficiency to ensure timely dispatch Complete and check relevant documentation and records Estimate load limits for safe storage and transport of goods Lead by example in upholding safety standards, COR compliance and hazard management Contribute to toolbox talks, continuous improvement, and team development Step into operational duties where required to support your team What You Bring A strong safety-first mindset with knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (COR) Current forklift licence and proven operational experience Leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse/transport environment Ability to communicate clearly, set expectations and support team development Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative team culture Why Lineage?
