In this pivotal role, you’ll provide strategic leadership and expertise to design and deliver engagement strategies that drive compliance with the portable long service leave scheme. Description LeavePlus is searching for a dynamic and strategic Stakeholder Engagement Lead to design and deliver engagement strategies that influence compliance with our portable long service leave scheme. In this role you will: Lead the design and implementation of engagement strategies that encourage understanding and adoption of scheme obligations. Build and manage strategic relationships with government departments, local councils, employer and professional associations, law and accountancy firms, and unions. Be the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent communication about compliance expectations. Deliver tailored guidance that reflects stakeholder operational contexts and supports long-term behavioural compliance in our scheme. Lead impactful initiatives including data partnerships or share compliance tools resulting in extension of our regulatory reach and influence. Monitor and evaluate engagement activities, reporting on risks, opportunities, and outcomes to the Senior Manager - Industry Engagement. Contribute to new frameworks, tools, and approaches that enhance visibility, effectiveness, and inclusive communication. Display your accountability and authority: Lead stakeholder engagement as a strategic driver of compliance and organisational alignment. Manage external relationships with high autonomy and authority. Influence behaviours through trusted advice, education, and regulatory messaging. Skills And Experiences We’re looking for someone who: Brings experience in stakeholder engagement, partnerships, or relationship management, preferably in government, regulatory, or compliance settings. Demonstrates clear communication with influence and experience building trusted relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. Translates complex regulatory or scheme requirements into clear, accessible guidance. Designs and delivers strategic engagement initiatives that drive long-term compliance outcomes. Balances competing priorities, meets deadlines, and aligns short-term actions with long-term goals. Exercises sound judgment, resilience, and adaptability in sensitive or high-stakes contexts. Demonstrates strong organisational, negotiation, and project management skills. Collaborates effectively across internal teams and external partners. Holds high personal standards, strong ethics, and a genuine drive to create meaningful impact. Is willing to travel occasionally to support regional and industry engagement activities. Mandatory requirement for current Victorian drivers' licence. Your qualifications will include: Degree in Business, Communications, PR, Public Policy or related fields Min 5 years stakeholder, partnership or relationship engagement experience Preferably regulatory body, statutory authority or government agency experience Why join us?
