Our Client for a Azure Cloud Engineer with expertise in Bicep & Azure DevOps. This role plays a key part in managing a secure and scalable cloud platform, with a strong focus on landing zone architecture, infrastructure automation, and observability. The successful candidate will work closely with internal platform and architecture teams as well as third-party partners. Responsibilities: Cloud Architecture & Engineering Design and deliver Azure Landing Zones, with a focus on security, governance, scalability, and performance; Work across core Azure services such as App Services, and Virtual Machines; and Contribute to full solution lifecycles from architecture to deployment. Infrastructure as Code & Automation Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, ARM) for scalable and secure deployments; Assist in building CI/CD pipelines to streamline delivery and improve operational efficiency. Monitoring & Observability Implement and optimise Azure Monitor for end-to-end observability across cloud services; Support the transition from legacy monitoring tools (e.g. SCOM, SolarWinds) where needed. Security & Governance Apply Azure-native security features such as NSGs, access controls, encryption, and policy-based management; Ensure designs align with the organisation’s risk and compliance requirements. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with stakeholders across infrastructure, application, architecture, and external vendors; Produce clear, professional documentation and diagrams to support delivery and future maintainability. Requirements: Senior-level experience in Azure cloud engineering, ideally with a track record delivering secure landing zones; Deep working knowledge of Bicep and IaC principles within Azure; Experience with Azure DevOps; Solid understanding of cloud security controls (NSGs, RBAC, policy); Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, non-siloed environment; and Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders in a cross-functional delivery model.
