About the team Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services. We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100 agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments. Key Responsibilities Own and evolve the Application Portfolio Model (APM), ensuring every application is catalogued, governed, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles. Lead strategic assessments of new business applications to prevent duplication and promote scalable, sustainable solutions. Develop and implement frameworks, standards, and best practices for enterprise application and data governance. Provide technical oversight and architectural leadership across application and data domains. Design and govern logical and physical data models that align with business goals. Create reference architectures and integration patterns that support a sustainable and agile technology environment. Scan the horizon for emerging technologies and trends to inform executive decision-making and future-proof our architecture. About You You’re a strategic and solutions-focused architect who thrives on simplifying complexity and driving enterprise-wide impact. You are passionate about applications and building systems that work smarter, not harder. Proven experience in ICT enterprise application architecture and data governance. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, standards and patterns. Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders, influence decisions, and align technology with business outcomes. A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
