About Destec Destec is a diversified mining contractor with a fast-growing client base, providing ore crushing, screening, and materials handling to the mining industry. About the role We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team based in Canning Vale. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a valuable trade. This role is for someone who loves variety, as no day is the same in our workshop. This role is a great opportunity to get experience and exposure to working on a wide range of mining equipment and machinery, and also at a later stage of your apprenticeship opportunities to assist on our FIFO mining projects. Our workshop is currently in Canning Vale, but as of September, we will be relocating to a brand-new workshop in Bibra Lake. To be successful in this role you will have: A genuine interest in mechanical systems and engineering. A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges. The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen. The ability to provide a national police clearance. Current drivers licence, and own transport to get to and from work Applicants must hold full working rights in Australia.
