Payroll Officer – Temp to Perm Perth CBD | Standalone Role | Mining & Exploration Sector Our client, a well-established mining and exploration company based in the Perth CBD, is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for a capable and confident professional looking to step into a key standalone role within a dynamic and growing business. About the Role Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be solely responsible for managing end-to-end payroll for approximately 170 employees, with a payroll cycle consisting of fortnightly and monthly pay runs. This is a hands-on position that requires accuracy, accountability, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities Process and manage full-function payroll for all staff Ensure compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, tax, and superannuation obligations Maintain accurate payroll records, reports, and reconciliations Handle employee queries regarding payroll, entitlements, and deductions Coordinate with internal departments for onboarding, offboarding, and leave management Liaise with external bodies (e.g., ATO, super funds) as required Generate payroll reports for internal stakeholders About You To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced payroll professional who thrives working independently and is comfortable operating in a standalone capacity.
