Job Description: Kerang District Health invites applications for the position of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager Night Duty Acute Ward. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing superior patient care while managing the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager. Responsibilities: 1. Ensuring high standard delivery of nursing care to all patients within the unit by maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. 2. Assisting the Nurse Unit Manager in overall leadership and management of the unit, including making decisions on the allocation of resources, staffing issues, and unit budgets. 3. Encouraging and promoting continuous professional development among the nursing staff to enhance the quality of patient care. 4. Participating in the recruitment process, performance evaluation, and providing effective mentorship and support to new and junior staff members. 5. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes. 6. Managing and resolving patient complaints professionally in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager. 7. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensuring adherence to clinical governance and regulatory standards. 8. Implementing effective strategies to manage change within the unit. 9. Participating in audits and quality improvement projects relating to patient care and safety. Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor of Nursing 2. Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 3. Strong clinical knowledge and experience in aged care settings. 4. Demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal and decision-making skills. 5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 6. Demonstrated commitment to Kerang District Health CARE values 7. 3 Direct Line managers for referees 8.
