We now have an exciting opportunity for an OT Engineer to join OT Engineering team in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane on fixed term full-time basis. As an OT Engineer – Online Simulation, you will be instrumental in supporting and delivering real-time pipeline simulation solutions. This involves leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies to provide accurate current-state assessments and predictive modelling of APA's gas pipelines. Reporting to the OT Engineering Team Lead, Data & Modelling, you will collaborate with operational technology engineers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to optimise pipeline operations, enhance systems, and drive impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver real-time pipeline modelling and simulation solutions. Provide operational support, including condition monitoring and fault resolution. Collaborate with the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) and Process Engineering teams to address simulator issues. Analyse data to provide actionable, data-driven recommendations. Support maintenance plans to maximise asset reliability and availability. Engage with stakeholders to plan and manage improvement initiatives and operational strategies. Drive system improvements and enhance operational reliability through effective problem-solving. Your background Tertiary qualification in, Chemical Engineering Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering who has knowledge of pressure, flow and hydraulics. Expertise in oil and gas design codes, Australian Standards, and industry best practices. Strong proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS, Synergi Pipeline Simulator) and data analytics (e.g., OSI Pi, PowerBI, Python). A proven track record in operational support or data-driven modelling. Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills. A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.
