Our client, based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne seeks a talented and qualified Service Technician - Pump Fitter for ongoing work, this role has the potential to be a permanent role after a qualifying period. About you: It is imperative you have : Explicit experience in servicing/overhauling and rebuilding pumps. This experience must go beyond preventative and basic maintenance. Basic meaning shaft packing changes and seal changes, greasing, and leak repair. You must be able to: Receive a damaged pump or pump in need of overhaul Identify faults and parts needing refurbishment or replacement Describe the conditions and reasons for the assessment/recommendation for a report for the client/asset owner Rebuild the pump back to as close to OEM condition as possible Be able to verify proper assembly through recording objective quality evidence. Laser alignments Torque values Hydro-leak testing Ideally, experience in service and overhaul is highly desirable: SPX Flow branded pumps (i.e. Waukesha Pumps) Boerger Pumps Positive displacement pumps of varying types.
