Your Opportunity: On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a close-knit finance team in a full-time, permanent role with a family-owned wholesale and distribution business that proudly supplies leading retailers and hardware stores across Australia. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end accounts receivable and credit control across a diverse ledger of approximately 200 accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is confident liaising with both internal stakeholders and major external accounts. Your Role: Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable function within Microsoft Business Central Oversee collections and credit control, including debtor account reconciliations Set up new customer accounts, perform credit assessments, and establish payment terms Handle and resolve payment queries, disputes, and escalations Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to address discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting Collaborate with two part-time AR team members, supporting payment allocations across both major accounts and retail transactions Your Profile: Proven experience as a Credit Controller/AR Officer in a small to medium-sized business Confident managing a high-volume ledger with accuracy and ownership Strong communication and stakeholder management skills System savvy – able to adapt to process changes and work effectively in Business Central (or similar ERP systems) A problem solver who can explain and resolve complex queries clearly and professionally You’ll be joining a collaborative and open-minded finance team that values responsibility, strong communication, and adaptability.
