What You'll Do: Operate mechanised longhole drilling rigs (e.g., Sandvik DL421, DL432i) to drill blast holes as per design specifications. Interpret and execute drill plans, ensuring holes are drilled to the correct line, gradient, and profile. Conduct thorough pre-start inspections and routine maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operational. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime. Collaborate with Shift Supervisors and cross-functional teams to coordinate drilling activities. Maintain accurate records of drilling activities and equipment maintenance. Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks in tough conditions. Valid manual driver’s license and ability to operate underground vehicles with relevant RPLs. Strong knowledge of underground mining regulations, procedures and dangerous goods card. Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding conditions.
