Blake Oliver Consulting has been engaged by a specialist consulting and technology firm focused on insurance transformation to appoint a Business Architect. This is a senior client-facing role working at the heart of large-scale Duck Creek programs, where you’ll help insurers modernise their platforms and align technology solutions to business outcomes. This role offers: Visibility with senior executives and decision-makers in the insurance sector The chance to shape modern architecture that directly impacts insurer competitiveness A collaborative environment where your expertise is valued and your voice is heard Long-term growth, with opportunities to expand into broader architecture or leadership roles Access to global delivery capability and continuous learning programs Sydney or Melbourne, Australia (On-site/Hybrid) What you’ll do Lead business and solution design for Duck Creek implementations across Policy, Billing, Claims, and Insights Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable specifications Define scalable architectures that balance immediate delivery with long-term flexibility Act as the primary link between business stakeholders and technical teams Drive consistency and governance through standards, guidelines, and best practices Support testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance activities Deliver training and maintain solution documentation What we’re looking for 8 years’ experience in P&C insurance domain processes, with at least 5 years in implementation Hands-on experience with Duck Creek modules (Policy, Billing, Claims, Insights) Strong knowledge of Duck Creek Author, Rating, Forms, and platform capabilities Proven experience as a Business Architect or similar role in insurance technology Familiarity with integration technologies (APIs, web services, middleware) Strong skills in data modelling, workflow design, and business process analysis Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Equal Opportunity Employment Blake Oliver Consulting and our client are equal opportunity employers.
