The role: As the Production Supervisor, you’ll be a key leader on the production floor, responsible for day-to-day operations and ensuring workflow runs smoothly. You’ll establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, allocate responsibilities, and prepare schedules to keep production on track. Guiding, coaching, and supporting employees to achieve operational standards will be central to your success. Key responsibilities include: Drive and uphold safe working practices in line with site safety guidelines. Compile and submit daily operational reports. Monitor and maintain consumable materials stock, assisting in purchasing when required. Proactively address accidents and near misses, reporting promptly to the Site Supervisor. Report equipment issues or breakdowns to the Maintenance Supervisor immediately. Maintain housekeeping standards across the site. Inspect incoming work and ensure quality of outgoing product meets standards and deadlines. Identify training needs for team members and coordinate with management. Work with QA and Management to improve finished product standards. Conduct effective handovers between shifts to ensure continuity. About you: To be successful in this role, you’ll bring: Experience in steel manufacturing (essential); galvanising industry experience highly regarded. Relevant licences to safely operate forklifts and site machinery. Proven supervisory experience within manufacturing/industrial environments. Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and commitment to best practice. Excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments. Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, delegate, and build team capability.
