Senior Tax Manager – Strategic & Advisory Role Lead high-impact tax strategy and transactions in a major Australian business Are you a commercially-minded tax professional looking to apply your expertise in a senior-level advisory role? Our client, a prominent player in the property and investment space, is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to help shape tax strategy, support complex transactions, and guide decision-makers across the business. You’ll work alongside senior stakeholders, legal, finance and investment teams, and industry bodies, influencing both day-to-day decisions and long-term initiatives. What you’ll do: As a key member of the tax team, reporting directly to the Head of Tax, your responsibilities will include: Delivering high-quality tax advice on major transactions and operational matters Managing relationships with external advisors, regulators, and internal stakeholders Providing input on proposed legislation and participating in industry consultations Coordinating external service providers on tax filing and lodgement obligations Supporting business continuity, tax forecasting, and transformation initiatives Driving continuous improvement in processes, systems, and internal knowledge sharing About you: To thrive in this role, you’ll combine technical excellence with strong commercial acumen and collaborative energy. You’ll also bring: 8 years’ experience in corporate tax, ideally with trust structures and transaction exposure CA, CPA or post-grad tax law qualification Experience in property, investment management or financial services (preferred) Strong communication skills—able to simplify complex issues for diverse audiences A proactive mindset with a knack for navigating ambiguity and making strategic decisions A team-first approach, contributing to collective success while driving individual outcomes Why join?
