In this newly created Line 1 Risk role, you’ll report to the Executive General Manager, Risk & Operations (APAC Wealth) and work closely with the Wealth APAC Leadership Team. Your role is to provide high-quality business risk expertise, support and leadership, shaping a strong risk-aware culture across the business. Some of the amazing things you’ll be involved in Act as SME for business unit risk reporting, incident and issue management, controls design and testing, and regulatory compliance obligations. Drive uplift and implementation of key programs across regulatory change, business continuity, resilience, information and records management, information security and cyber risk management. Support Iress clients during their annual vendor regulatory compliance questionnaires. Partner with Group Risk to ensure alignment with Group-wide frameworks and policies. Act as a trusted advisor to APAC business leaders, role-modelling best practice risk management. What you will bring We’re looking for someone who brings both technical depth and a pragmatic, collaborative approach. You will have: Prior experience in a Line 1 or Line 2 risk/controls role, ideally in banking, financial services or professional services/advisory. Strong technical knowledge of risk frameworks and governance. Experience embedding risk management practices – from controls design and implementation through to monitoring, reporting, issue and incident management. Excellent collaboration, influencing, and project management skills. Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex risk concepts into practical business outcomes.
