As a Survey Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's growing and successful engineering business based in North Melbourne. In this independent position, you will work predominantly in the field conducting geotechnical investigations and surveys. Providing high-quality geotechnical reports and survey plans for various residential and commercial projects. Perform soil logging and field testing. Conduct site inspections to assess site conditions. Operate and maintain geotechnical/survey equipment. Provide onsite technical support to the office staff. Prepare accurate geotechnical reports and survey plans. Ensure compliance with safety and OHS regulations. Collaborate with the team to improve operational efficiencies . Skills and Experience: Civil engineering, surveying, or geotechnical geology qualifications preferred. Strong understanding of Melbourne soils and site classifications. Basic surveying fieldwork experience is desirable. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Excellent attention to detail to produce high-quality work. White/Red Card holder with relevant OHS certification. Australian driver's license to operate a manual vehicle. Hands-on experience operating field equipment and drilling rigs.
