Reporting to the Education Manager - English Language Programs (ELP) and English Medium Instruction (EMI) and collaborating with the other members of the Senior Academic team, the Senior Teacher will plan and coordinate the delivery of English language programs, study tours and English Medium of Instruction courses, manage ongoing and casual teachers, and engage in quality assurance, enhancement and improvement in assessment and curriculum, and teach as required. This role will provide leadership in learning and teaching, curriculum and assessment design and technology-enhanced learning to ensure continuous curriculum innovation and best practice across the College’s programs, as well as fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders and communities of practice across the University. What You'll Do: Work as part of a team to organise the administration and implementation of all English language, study tour and EMI teacher-training programs. Manage day-to-day issues and enquiries from students and teachers, and undertake teaching duties as required. Participate in staff recruitment, induction, development, and observation. Support student advisors in student pathway and welfare matters. Maintain general knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing ELICOS. Collaborate with key stakeholders to benchmark curriculum innovation and technology-enhanced learning, ensuring best practice across English Language Program offerings. Provide leadership in the areas of learning and teaching at the College, including training needs analysis and supporting the organisation, facilitation and evaluation of professional development events for College staff in curriculum design, learning innovation, work-integrated learning, and technology-enhanced learning. Build collaboration and stakeholder engagement by managing relationships with relevant stakeholders across the College and University and collaborating across College Foundation, UniReady, Masters Qualifying Programs, and Diploma courses. Contribute to the effective operations of the Macquarie Learning Technologies Platform (iLearn) as required. ABOUT YOU You have postgraduate qualifications in Applied Linguistics or TESOL, and extensive English language teaching experience. You possess exceptional knowledge of the latest developments in adult learning principles including online and blended learning pedagogies and proven expertise in curriculum and assessment design.
