As part of the global Operations function, UpGuard’s Finance team's mission is to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to aid management in decision-making and ensure that the company has adequate internal controls to ensure that financial reporting can be relied on by internal and external users. We execute this by creating a budget that supports the short and long term vision of the company, reducing operating expenses utilizing financial data and automation, and providing accurate financial results to business users to enable them to make the best decisions. Responsible for global tax planning and related transfer pricing systems and processes Work cross-functionally to manage R&D Tax Credit claims Manage income tax calculation and tax-effect accounting Tax compliance (including sales tax, fringe benefit tax) and governance in each territory we operate Assistance with M&A tax related activities What will you bring? Extensive experience in tax working in high-growth companies operating globally in the technology or SaaS sector A “get things done” approach; you can dissect problems, identity solutions, and drive these solutions to completion with a high degree of autonomy and in a cost-effective manner A team-first mentality and communication skills that allow you to influence others at all levels and functions within the organization to rally behind shared business goals Keen attention to detail and a data-driven approach to ensure accuracy and drive informed decisions Intellectual curiosity and a passion for leveraging technology, including AI, to drive process improvements in tax compliance, planning, and reporting.
