We're seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team in Sydney or Melbourne and help drive growth in our business across superannuation funds, service providers and regulators. About The Role: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for generating new business, building and enhancing relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth for the SuperRatings business. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the BDM will leverage client feedback and insights obtained to identify new product and service opportunities, to enable the business to achieve growth targets Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the Head of Sales and Director of SuperRatings to shape and execute strategies aligned with Lonsec’s broader objectives, including client segmentation and new business development. Build and grow trusted relationships with Superannuation Funds and key stakeholders, acting as the main contact point for clients to ensure strong engagement and satisfaction. Partner with Marketing to analyse industry trends and client needs, helping inform sales effectivness and guide product development initiatives. Manage CRM tools for accurate forecasting, building a healthy pipeline, and reporting against KPIs to drive continuous improvement. Work closely with internal teams to foster a positive, client-focused culture while supporting broader business goals and cross-functional initiatives. About You: Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or related discipline and/or equivalent comparable work experience Clear and proven ability in business development or sales within financial services or other B2B environments, with proven success meeting or exceeding revenue targets in regulated or complex markets Strong understanding of the financial services landscape and the ability to apply insights to identify growth opportunities and shape product or service offerings. Exceptional relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders, supported by strong commercial acumen and communication abilities. Thrives independently in high-pressure, target-driven settings while actively contributing to a collaborative team culture.
