About The Role Reporting to the Senior Corporate Lawyer, this is a full time, permanent role within the Legal team. As a Corporate Lawyer you will be responsible for providing legal services and advice regarding legal matters to the business as supervised and directed by the line manager or the General Counsel. In this role you will: Work with management and all staff to identify, limit, advise on and manage legal risks associated with legacy, current and future business activities. Deal with difficult or abstract technical issues and changing priorities and/or different situations requiring solution. Assist with the management of litigation. Draft and review legal documentation, including management of legal precedents, as directed. Perform complex professional/technical work under general supervision. Effectively manage external legal advisors, as required. Provide training to the business regarding legal issues, as needed, including on policies and procedures. Monitor and advise on legal and regulatory issues, including developments of importance and significance to the business to identify problems and search for the appropriate solution or combination of solutions. About You Tertiary qualification in law and current practising certificate required. 3-5 years of post-admission legal experience gained through a law firm/s and in-house practice, particularly in the areas of general commercial work, litigation and intellectual property. Strong technical legal skills in negotiation, providing advice and drafting. Strong legal project management and problem solving skills. Strong understanding of legal and business principles and their relevance to a statutory corporation. Ability to liaise well with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
