Permanent Part-Time Position – 32 hours per week Based in Gosford, Central Coast We’re proud to offer a Permanent Part-Time Level 3 Community Support Worker position within our Housing & Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) program . This role is based on the Central Coast and operates across a 24/7 rotating roster, with hours between 6am and 8pm, Monday to Sunday. About the Role This position supports the delivery of community-based mental health outreach, with a strong focus on cultural safety, respect, and empowerment. You’ll work alongside participants to strengthen independence, wellbeing, and connection to community. Your Day-to-Day Will Include Supporting participants with daily living skills, transport, social engagement, and medication routines Maintaining accurate records using online systems Building respectful relationships with participants, families, carers, and community stakeholders Completing risk assessments, support plans, and documentation in a timely and culturally appropriate manner You Are Warm, compassionate and culturally aware Respectful of diverse lived experiences, especially within Aboriginal communities Committed to strengths-based, person-centred practice Reliable, flexible, and grounded in community values Passionate about supporting mental health and social emotional wellbeing What You’ll Bring Certificate-level qualification in Mental Health or Community Services, OR equivalent experience Experience working in mental health and/or community settings, with understanding of NDIS and block-funded programs Knowledge of Aboriginal cultural protocols, community dynamics, and trauma-informed practice Basic digital literacy (Microsoft Office and other systems) Benefits may include New Horizons pays above the award & penalty rates Salary packaging of up to $15,900 in tax free pay, plus entertainment card to package an additional $2,650 Fitness Passport Access to flexible work arrangements and purchased annual leave program with a bonus week of annual leave if worked 10 weekends in a calendar year.
