Casual opportunity for a Graduate Architects to support University Infrastructure Design, Engineering, Planning and Sustainability Team Commencing ASAP HEO 5 - Step 1 $61.44 per hour About the opportunity The Graduate Architect will assist the University Infrastructure (UI) Design, Engineering, Planning and Sustainability (DEPS) team in the provision of architectural and interior design services across several campuses and will include the implementation of design standards across all project work. Under the supervision of UI-DEPS Architect (Raja Syazwina), the Graduate Architect is an integral member of the UI Design, Engineering, Planning and Sustainability team, being involved with, and contributing to establishing and implementing UI strategy and direction. Your key responsibilities will be Assist with both interior refurbishment projects and architectural projects, including technical input in architectural documentation, project scopes and FF&E schedules across all projects Perform site inspections for project works with lead architects Provide support in the implementation of University Infrastructure Design Standards Assist with space planning & space management including implementation of space planning solutions; Identify and prepare decanting documents associated with space management solutions You will have Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification in architecture Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a large, multidisciplinary environment Knowledge of Architecture and Interior Design documentation using AutoCAD and REVIT, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator Demonstrated experience in the preparation of feasibility studies, master planning, high level briefings, architectural documentation, reports and presentations Demonstrated analytical, organisational and conceptual skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret information from different sources to proactively identify issues and risks; Results oriented, strong team attitude and proven ability to work in a collaborative work environment on multiple projects and meet the deadlines Sound understanding of regulatory requirements in the building industry (including NSW Legislation, NCC, Australian Standards) Preferably have work experience in educational architectural and/or refurbishment projects To keep our community safe, please be aware of our COVID safety precautions which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.
