Hello. We’re Virgin Australia. We’re the airline that’s always done things a little different. Our way. The Virgin way. We’re on a mission to make flying better than ‘nice’. And to do that, it takes a team of talented people who are passionate about customer experience, doing the right thing always, with a focus on safety – in the air, on the ground and in our workplaces. A team who values real diversity and inclusion, in a big brand with big ambitions. What you’ll be doing: We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join our Airport Experience team at Brisbane Airport as a Crew Culture Manager where you will have the chance to lead culture where it counts. As the Crew Culture Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our award winning Guest & Ramp Services teams, recently recognised as Best Airline Staff Service in Australia/Pacific. Based right where the action happens, you’ll bring our people strategy to life with energy, empathy, and your unique Virgin flair. With up to 6 direct reports and around 600 incredible airport based team members under your wing, you’ll shape the employee experience, lift the vibe, and help our culture continue to soar. You’ll play a key role in supporting teams who make travel magic happen every day, and walk away knowing you’ve made a real impact. To thrive in this role, you’ll need solid experience in industrial and employee relations, including case management, and a confident understanding of workplace legislation. A strong background working with unions is also highly regarded, as you’ll be partnering closely with stakeholders to foster a collaborative and positive work environment. You’ll be great in this role if you: Bring a tertiary qualification in HR, business management or equivalent leadership experience to the table Have a genuine passion for people and a sharp instinct for building and nurturing workplace culture. Thrive in fast-paced, customer-facing environments and have experience leading large teams (aviation experience is a bonus!) Feel confident navigating all things HR—from everyday people matters to complex case management and everything in between Have solid experience in industrial and employee relations, with a strong understanding of workplace legislation and processes Know how to build strong, respectful relationships with unions and stay calm and constructive under pressure Are a natural communicator, a values led leader, and someone who brings a coaching mindset to every conversation Collaborate with ease, bring resilience to the table, and know how to keep things grounded, even when things get busy Equality rules: We’re all individuals. We love that. That’s why we encourage applications from Indigenous Australians, people with disability, those from diverse cultural backgrounds, our friends in the LGBTQI community, and anyone else who wants to join our family.
