Job Description UX/UI Senior Designer About the role: A Senior UX/UI Designer is responsible for leading the design and development of user-centric digital experiences across mobile apps, web portals, and APIs, while collaborating closely with technical and business teams. They contribute to solution architecture and full stack development, ensuring design outputs align with project requirements and user needs. Their role spans the entire software development lifecycle, including planning deliverables, creating design documentation, supporting testing, and coordinating with stakeholders such as business analysts, testers, and subject matter experts to validate artefacts and resolve issues. They also maintain progress visibility through tools like Jira and daily stand-ups, ensuring consistent communication and alignment throughout project phases Mandatory Requirement Citizenship Requirement: Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this role. Highly Desirable Requirement: Government Clearance: Minimum baseline government or NV-1 clearance. Key responsibilities will include: Proven experience in the elicitation of UI/UX requirement techniques such as brainstorming, workshops, prototyping, observation, or interviews, and confirming or reporting on results. Contemporary knowledge of UI/UX methodologies and experience designing to meet WCAG guidelines. Proven experience building rapport and maintaining stakeholder relationships, communicating confidently, and presenting messages in a clear, concise, and articulate manner to senior stakeholders. 3–5 years’ experience working as a UX/UI designer. Design experience working with Accessibility requirements. Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
