We’re looking for a Senior Manager to join our Business Control and Monitoring (BCM) team in the Technology Division. BCM helps keep the bank safe by building a strong risk culture and making sure risks are well understood and managed across Technology. You’ll work closely with leaders especially in Infrastructure and Service Management to guide risk decisions, improve controls, and support incident oversight. You’ll lead risk workshops, advise on risk strategies, and help teams design safer technology solutions. You’ll also write clear reports for senior leaders, lead strategic initiatives to improve our risk services, and coach others to build capability. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll make a real impact on how risk is managed across the division. This is a permanent fulltime role based in Sydney with flexible working arrangements. What do I need? Strong experience in risk management within large, complex organisations (ideally in financial services) Deep understanding of operational IT, risk and compliance frameworks, and the regulatory landscape Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior stakeholders Strong problem-solving, planning, and project management skills Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience leading and coaching teams Bonus skills: Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, accounting, or commerce Hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure (e.g. networks, databases, operating systems across mainframe, mid-range, and cloud) Certifications like ITIL, COBIT, or CRISC Why join us?
