As a Casual Relieving Administrative Officer, you will be an essential part of the Surgical Directorate team, stepping in to support clerical, reception, ward clerk, and secretarial roles during periods of leave or unexpected absences. Your role will involve coordinating daily workloads, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately, and providing expert assistance to staff across these groups. Your ability to work collaboratively and flexibly will be key to maintaining smooth operations within the department. You will take on the responsibility of monitoring and allocating work, managing more complex tasks, and offering guidance to less experienced team members. Building strong relationships with hospital staff, you’ll identify priorities and support the team to deliver excellent service. Proficiency with computers, software applications, and electronic patient information systems. Previous administrative experience in a health setting, managing confidential and high-priority correspondence. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, hospital procedures, and workplace safety, with a focus on teamwork and problem-solving.
