About the Role Our Ward Secretaries play a vital role as the welcoming face of our hospital wards, providing the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors. We currently have multiple Full-time/ Part-time opportunities available within Patient Administration. In this role, you will provide a wide range of administrative support services to the ward, ensuring smooth daily operations. This includes managing administrative tasks, coordinating communication, and assisting the clinical team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Your Key Skills and Experience Strong keyboard and computer skills using MS Office. Previous experience understanding mental health out-patients. Background in Mental Health Administration. Ability to prioritise and complete tasks within designated timeframes. Ability to work effectively unsupervised and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to problem solve effectively. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Candidates who meet the following criteria will be highly regarded: Prior experience working in a hospital or medical practice setting. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with the meditech system. Remuneration : A base hourly rate ranging from $29.78 - $31.36 superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
