About the Role We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer with a background in either Parking Enforcement or Local Laws. This role is responsible for managing Councils end-to-end process for towed vehicle across multiple contracts and service areas. The ideal candidate will provide high quality and responsive enforcement skills, be community focused, have excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude when engaging with the community within the City of Port Phillip. The successful candidate will be working with a number of other Council enforcement teams and external stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes which benefit our community. Duties: Manage the end-to-end investigations, vehicle impoundment and disposal of abandoned and unregistered vehicles within the municipality Manage Council’s contracted towing service provider for abandoned and unregistered vehicles and associated administrative processes Provide excellent customer service to residents and the community when managing requests and complaints received by the unit Work collaboratively with our Parking Enforcement Team and Local Laws Unit to ensure seamless outcomes for customers and our community Skills and Experience Experience conducting compliance investigations in a busy and often complex environment Working knowledge of the Road Safety Act and Regulations, the Local Government Act, Local Laws and other relevant legislation Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and a high regard for quality, consistency and accuracy of written communications Must hold a valid Victorian Drivers Licence People enjoy working at the City of Port Phillip because we are a welcoming, healthy and inclusive workplace.
