The business is involved with a broad range of other agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill this role in a full-time capacity, based in Pittsworth, QLD. Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance functions in accordance with the engineering maintenance plan, documenting all work accurately. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults, repairing or replacing components, and restoring operations to minimise production downtime. Analyse equipment failures, identify root causes, and recommend improvements or design modifications to enhance reliability and efficiency. Utilise the MEX Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for accurate record keeping, work order management, and parts requisition. Manage tools, spare parts, and materials effectively, ensuring availability for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. Communicate and collaborate with production and operations staff to align maintenance activities with production requirements and minimise disruption. Maintain compliance with engineering standards, WHS regulations, and company policies, ensuring all work meets specifications and safety requirements. Liaise with engineering and equipment suppliers to support integration of new systems, upgrades, or modifications to existing machinery. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimise machinery performance and reduce operational costs. Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a safe, clean, and organised condition in line with workplace health and safety practices. Provide guidance and training to operators and production staff on basic equipment care, safe use, and reporting of maintenance issues.
