About the Role Are you passionate about making a difference to families and individuals navigating challenging times? We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Family Information Officers to join our Family Relationship Centre team. In this pivotal frontline role, you’ll assess client needs, provide quality information, and refer clients to RAQ and community services, ensuring they get the support they deserve. Additionally, you will: Provide responsive, respectful client service and understand the challenges faced by our clients Assess client needs, perform brief intake screening, and make appropriate referrals Book face-to-face, phone, and online appointments using our Client Information System (CIS) Respond compassionately to crisis calls and situations, connecting clients to counsellors or support services Share information about RAQ and external community services, both verbally and in writing Accurately record interactions and maintain up-to-date files and records in CIS Provide administrative support, including reception duties, venue appearance, and general office tasks Manage venue financial processes, including receipting, petty cash, and record-keeping Participate in ongoing professional development and reflective practice About You You’ll bring a customer-focused, empathetic approach and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment. You have strong verbal and written communication skills, are computer savvy (Microsoft Office, email, web-based platforms), and are comfortable learning new systems, such as CIS. Experience in client service, administration, or the community sector and/or with diverse client backgrounds is highly regarded. Knowledge of financial processes in an office environment is desirable. Additionally, you have: Strong interpersonal, time management, and organisational abilities, with a professional approach to complex or crisis situations. Skilled in engaging and supporting clients from diverse backgrounds in a respectful and inclusive manner. Comfortable working under pressure and maintaining composure during challenging interactions. Motivated to learn, contribute innovative ideas, and embrace a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and inclusion. Brings customer service and/or administrative experience; qualifications or experience in business administration, community services, financial processes, and client information systems are highly valued.
