Description Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security. We currently have an opportunity for a Project Data Lead in Adelaide to work on SEA4000 data transfer activities . What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including: Lead and manage SEA4000 data transfer activities, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and coordination across engineering and project teams Define and communicate SEA4000 data priorities in collaboration with CSI-IPT Ship 1 Lead, DTR team, and external data owners Liaise with MIWS reviewers and data managers to address queries, monitor release progress, and ensure compliance with export control and security requirements Provide timely reporting to the SEA4000 Project Director, escalate issues, and coordinate approvals and release authorisations Represent SEA4000 at leadership forums, support internal reporting mechanisms, and oversee DPN data transfer processes in line with MIWS SREC guidance What You’ll Bring [Key skills and qualifications] Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Experience managing data transfer processes and ensuring compliance with defence governance frameworks. Familiarity with regulations and protocols for secure and compliant data handling. Understanding of engineering priorities and data workflows within complex defence programs. Strong skills in reporting, issue escalation, and responding to queries across multiple teams. Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
