ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Cost Controller to join our team supporting our long-term detailed and bulk earthworks, electrical services, infrastructure and construction scopes in Rockingham, WA. The role will be initially based at our Balcatta office and transitioning to Rockingham in February 2026. As the Project Cost Controller , you will be responsible for responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure financial accuracy, efficiency, and successful delivery Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to: Prepare regular financial reports, including cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and risk assessments for project stakeholders. Work closely with the project stakeholders to prepare and submit project monthly claims. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to assist with preparing and finalising vendor agreements ensuring alignment with company commercial requirements. Ensure that all project stakeholders are kept informed of any cost-related issues or decisions. Ensure that all cost planning activities comply with relevant regulations, contracts, and industry standards. Regularly review and update cost forecasts to ensure project costs remain within the approved budget. Review and valuing completed subcontractor and supplier claims, managing budgets and overseeing payments. Prepare detailed cost estimates for various stages of project development. Measure financial key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the project achieves the targeted outcomes. Perform value engineering exercises to identify and suggest cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality. To be successful, y ou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 3-5 years’ experience in a Cost Controller role or similar. Proven experience working on major projects, ideally with the main contractor. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (essential). Australian Defence background is desirable.
