ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Resources team supporting the long-term Civil and Electrical Construction scopes at Barrow Island. As the Senior Project Engineer you will be reporting to the Construction Manager and you will be responsible for responsible for driving project delivery from design through to execution, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. ABOUT BARROW ISLAND Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron’s Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia’s Gorgon Project for over 10 years. Barrow Island provides excellent on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms available for men & women with a variety of fitness classes to choose from), sporting facilities including a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, 2 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch! Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to: Take responsibility for delivering the project scope to a high standard, on time and within budget. Provide and seek technical advice on design, construction, program modifications, and structural repairs. Maintain strong project performance in challenging circumstances, taking ownership of issues and driving resolutions. Apply sound commercial understanding to decision-making, ensuring costs and profitability are effectively managed. Contribute to the overall financial and operational success of the project team. Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement and clear communication. Ensure project deliverables meet client needs, budget requirements, contractual obligations, and quality standards. Support, mentor, and contribute to the success of colleagues within the project team. Ensure subcontractors comply with company policies, procedures, and HSEQ standards. Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with project HSEQ plans. To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (essential) and Project Management (desirable). Key mandatory experience and disciplines – bulk earthworks with mine site infrastructure Highly regarded disciplines also include - Marine wharfing, piling experience the installation of tubular piles, concrete headstocks and deck planks, roads, structures/ concrete, underground services, mine site infrastructure and/or marine. Leadership skills and experience managing small to medium crews. Hands on experience gained within a contractor environment in similar industries. Proven engineering, project controls and contractual management skills. Previous on-site resources industry experience. MUST hold relevant Australian working rights. WHY JOIN ERTECH?
