PSV is looking for motivated, skilled, culturally sensitive, customer focused individuals to meet current and anticipated vacancies at the Band 3 and Band 4 levels. You will gather information from various sources, conduct interviews, process security clearance assessments and provide timely, high quality recommendations regarding security clearance outcomes. PSV is seeking applicants who demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in both written and verbal communications. You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. Band 3 Role: Work individually and with the team to assess whether clearance applicants are suitable to hold a security clearance in accordance with the Protective Security Policy Framework and AFP governance frameworks. Manage your own allocation of vetting assessments and deliver results within agreed timeframes Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, proficient written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of clearance subjects from diverse backgrounds. Make a sound assessment based on established governance and standard operating procedures and provide advice and recommendations to support your assessment. Consistently demonstrate good judgement in decision making by researching information, considering options and making logical recommendations. Produce written work that is concise, well-expressed and accurately conveys the intended message. Recognise information that is sensitive and uses established guidelines or seek supervisor guidance in determining if that information can be shared or disseminated. Actively acquire basic technical knowledge including AFP's policies, procedures and practices, legislation, regulations and standards and contemporary issues that impact the work of the team. Undertake other support or vetting functions as directed. Band 4 Role: Work individually and with the team to assess whether clearance applicants are suitable to hold a security clearance in accordance with the Protective Security Policy Framework and AFP governance frameworks. Manage your own allocation of vetting assessments and deliver on objectives within agreed timeframes and to agreed standards Consistently demonstrate good judgement in decision making by exploring the nature of the problem, researching information, considering options, documenting evidence and making logical recommendations. Apply technical knowledge including AFP's policies, procedures and practices, legislation, regulations and standards and contemporary issues that impact the work of the team and use this to take complete responsibility for standard projects. Shows good judgment in assessing information that is sensitive and uses established guidelines in determining if that information can be shared or disseminated Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, proficient written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of clearance subjects from diverse backgrounds.
