Job Duties: · Provide counselling for students and provide support for relevant parents and teachers in response to need. · To support proactive welfare, social and emotional learning programs, and workshops. · To liaise with the relevant teachers and parents/carers in relation to students of concern, i.e., development of Behaviour Management Plans, ILPs (Independent Learning Programs), general support and management, student observations, etc. · Make recommendations and provide information and support to the senior staff of Yeshivah Primary (i.e., to specific students, in times of crisis, etc.) · To make recommendations and assist in the case management of students and families that need to be referred /reported to external agencies, i.e., DHHS, Child First, SECASA, police, etc. · Supporting students and carers with understanding and adjustment of behaviour, attitudes, and presenting alternative approaches for attitude and behaviour modification. · Contributing information and advice on the learning and behaviour of students with different needs and assisting parents and teachers in supporting them. Requirements: · Communication Skills: Ability to listen actively and communicate clearly with students from diverse backgrounds. · Empathy and Emotional Intelligence: Understand and support students' emotional and mental well-being. · Knowledge of Education Systems: Familiarity with Australian academic pathways, visa regulations, and career options. · Problem-Solving Abilities: Help students navigate academic, personal, and social challenges effectively. · At least 1 year experience in a similar role Qualification : Bachelor's degree or higher.
