Lead and embed WHS risk and assurance frameworks Shape compliance and governance outcomes across People & Safety Adelaide CBD | Full-time, 5-month temp role About the Opportunity This is a career-defining contract opportunity for an experienced Risk, Compliance and Assurance professional to play a pivotal role in strengthening safety, compliance and governance outcomes. You will design and embed frameworks that improve workplace safety maturity, deliver compliance with key obligations, and support leaders in building accountability across risk and assurance programs. Working closely with business units, leaders, and the enterprise risk function, you will help shape an assurance environment that drives measurable improvement and sets the foundation for long-term sustainability. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and oversight of WHS risk registers, critical risk programs and verification activities Partner with leaders to design, monitor and embed a WHS assurance framework Conduct assurance checks, analyse findings, and report gaps or systemic issues to leadership Monitor legislative and ISO requirements, ensuring emerging obligations are addressed Oversee management of licences, registrations and corporate WHS obligations Provide risk, compliance and assurance advisory support across People & Safety and People & Culture functions Qualifications & Experience Essential: Relevant tertiary qualification in safety, risk, compliance or related field Demonstrated experience designing and implementing assurance frameworks and WHS programs Strong knowledge of WHS risk management, compliance obligations and ISO standards Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and business units to embed governance practices Skilled in translating complex risk/compliance requirements into practical solutions Desirable: Experience in large, complex organisations or government environments Exposure to diversity, equity and inclusion compliance frameworks Why Join?
