Job Description About the role As Sydney Airport continues to evolve as one of Australia’s most important transport hubs, the resilience of our technology services is critical to keeping operations running smoothly. The IT Service Continuity Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the availability of these services, ensuring they are prepared to withstand and recover from disruptions. Offered as a 12-month max term contract , this role presents a rare opportunity to lead the development and ongoing maturity of our IT Service Continuity framework, aligning IT strategies with broader business continuity objectives to protect the seamless travel experience of millions of passengers. In this role, you will take ownership of our IT Disaster Recovery planning and testing, conduct Business Impact Analyses to identify mission-critical services, and work closely with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to embed continuity strategies into everyday operations. You will also deliver training and awareness programs to build a culture of resilience across our Technology function. In this role, you will have the opportunity to Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Sydney Airport’s IT Service Continuity framework and plans, ensuring alignment with broader business continuity objectives. Conduct Business Impact Analyses to identify critical IT services, dependencies, and potential risks, and design effective recovery strategies. Develop, maintain, and test IT Disaster Recovery plans to safeguard the availability and resilience of mission-critical services. Coordinate and deliver regular disaster recovery testing, establishing a structured test calendar to ensure ongoing readiness and compliance. Partner with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to embed continuity strategies into operational processes and project delivery. About you Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven expertise in developing and implementing IT Service Continuity frameworks and Disaster Recovery plans, with knowledge of ITIL, ISO 22301, and related best practices. Strong background in IT service management and operational technology, with a track record of delivering business outcomes through effective monitoring, reporting, and performance management. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive process adoption across diverse teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on assessing risks, impacts, and recovery strategies. Adaptability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage complex change initiatives.
