Located on the Camperdown Campus at the School of Physics Exciting opportunity to join the leading physics department in the country Base Salary $ 89,755 - $ 100,495 (HEO5) pro rata 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Astralis Instrumentation Consortium, School of Physics is currently seeking a part time Administrative Officer to support Astralis projects and perform general administrative and clerical duties for the designated work area, ensuring tasks are completed in an efficient and effective manner. The Administrative Officer will work closely with the COO and consortium node members to organise and maintain records, act as the initial point of contact within the consortium and utilise judgement and procedural knowledge to coordinate processes and organise the flow of information. They will also draft reports and general correspondence, organise Board meetings and Astralis promotional materials and maintain the Astralis Instrumentation Consortium websites, through liaison with stakeholders. Astralis Instrumentation Consortium (Astralis) is Australia’s national optical instrumentation capability drawing on experience, expertise and facilities from three leading universities – The University of Sydney, Macquarie University, and the Australian National University. Astralis is composed of a group of high-tech laboratories and over 100 staff. This role will report to the three Directors of Astralis. The role will be based at the University of Sydney, however there will be occasional travel to visit Macquarie University and ANU (Mt Stromlo).
