Under general direction you will be responsible for pitching, researching, writing, and producing breaking and key stories for the News website, app and related digital platforms. We are looking for an experienced journalist who thrives in a dynamic fast paced environment where you will have the opportunity to break live news stories first. We’re looking for someone with the flexibility to work shifts across a 7-day roster, including early starts, late finishes and weekends. The Job Pitch, write and produce high-quality news stories and explainers for a broad Australian audience Cover live and breaking national and international news, including live blogs Suggest innovative storytelling methods for digital platforms Stay informed on emerging digital news trends Curate stories and craft headlines for audience-focused platforms About You The ideal candidate will have experience in digital journalism and online news publishing systems.
