Job Description Position Title: ASO5 Senior Client Engagement Officer Employment Type: Full-time Location: Belconnen, ACT Duration: 1.5 months Hourly Pay Rate: $62.62 per hour super Security Clearance/Requirements: Working with Vulnerable People registration (or ability to obtain) Working Arrangements: Office and field-based work ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking motivated and community-minded Senior Client Engagement Officer to join a dedicated Client Services team within State Government. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of tenancies, providing direct support to tenants, and ensuring properties are well maintained. The position involves a mix of office-based tasks and field work, including visiting tenants in their homes, coordinating maintenance, and working closely with community and government services to deliver sustainable housing outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage a portfolio of tenancies, ensuring obligations under tenancy agreements are met. Conduct property inspections, address maintenance issues, and monitor tenancy conditions. Provide high-quality customer service and tenancy support, including outreach visits. Assist tenants experiencing challenges by connecting them with relevant services. Respond to complaints, resolve disputes, and maintain strong community relationships. Prepare reports, case notes, and maintain accurate tenancy records. Contribute to continuous service improvement and mentor colleagues when required. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse clients. Experience in tenancy management, case management, or community services (desirable). Ability to remain calm and professional when working with vulnerable or distressed tenants. High-level organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of tenancy law, housing policies, or the ability to quickly learn. Strong written and verbal communication, including report writing. ELIGIBILITY Current driver’s licence. Registration under the Working with Vulnerable People Act (or ability to obtain prior to commencement). Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Development, Leadership, or Management are desirable but not essential.
