THE COMPANY Partnering with Tier One clients and know across the Sydney skyline for their talent constructing scaffolding, staging, and frame platforms, they are the backbone of a construction site ensuring it is built safely, with precision, and reliability. Their scaffolding systems are designed to support projects of all sizes, from small builds to large-scale, and complex structures. With their attention on strength and stability, the team works closely with contractors, architects, and project managers to transform custom scaffolding explanations that meet the specific engineering needs of a site. THE ROLE Newly created, purely due to expansion, this role will see you report directly to the financial controller, collaborating on projects and being mentored to add value to your experience within industry. Your responsibilities will include; Manage end to end accounting functions. Accounts receivable and accounts payable Bank reconciliations Intercompany journals Bank reconciliation Weekly payroll processing EBA award interpretation Statutory monthly reporting Safeguard transactional accounts and reporting ensuring the business is compliant with construction industry-specific regulations Control employee expense reimbursement and credit card reconciliations Sub-contractor reconciliations and tracking to project costing. Assist with labour job costing and project profitability analysis. Cashflow management coupled with retention reporting Support procurement and asset management processes, Be accountable for equipment scaffold inventory tracking. Ensure compliance with ATO regulations, including BAS, GST, PAYG, and Superannuation. Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with Australian accounting standards. Liaise with operations and project managers to provide financial insight and support decision-making in conjunction with the CFO THE ESSENTIALS 10 Years experience as a bookkeeper with a diploma of accounting or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CA qualification preferred (or working towards). Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction arena Understanding of Australian tax laws and financial regulations. Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks, Excel. Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
