In a quiet home in Bossley Park, a gentle elderly lady is waiting for someone special — a kind, reliable volunteer who can offer more than just their time… someone who can bring warmth, conversation, and a little light into her day. She finds joy in the little things: diamond dot art, puzzles, a stroll through the shops, a warm cup of coffee, and the loyal company of her sweet, friendly dog. What she misses most is simple connection — someone to talk to, laugh with, and share a moment of genuine companionship. Even a short visit once a week or fortnight could mean the world to her. Your presence, your kindness, could turn an ordinary day into something truly meaningful. Because to her, you wouldn’t just be a visitor — you’d be a friend. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
