About the Role We're seeking a motivated Design Manager to join the team, working closely under a highly experienced Senior Design Manager. This is a junior-mid level role - ideal for someone with solid technical grounding and niche project experience who thrives on detail, collaboration, and contributing to large-scale outcomes. You'll be working on Class 2 residential and shopping centre projects valued up to $40 million, playing a key role in design coordination, documentation, and consultant management while gaining exposure to some of the region's most significant developments. Key Responsibilities Support the Senior Design Manager in coordinating design documentation and consultant outputs. Manage day-to-day design queries and ensure documentation aligns with project requirements. Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design challenges quickly. Ensure designs comply with NSW Class 2 building regulations and industry standards. Provide clear communication across all stakeholders while keeping attention to detail front of mind. About You 3-5 years' experience in design management or coordination, ideally on Class 2 residential or shopping centre projects. Strong documentation and coordination skills (Revit, AutoCAD, or similar exposure a plus). Enthusiastic, detail-focused, and collaborative -someone who takes ownership of their role while supporting senior leadership. Based in Newcastle (or surrounds) and open to occasional travel to the North Coast for project requirements.
